Benz Communications Receives Industry Recognition for Excellence in Benefits Communication Programs

Benz Communications won the Silver Quill Excellence Award in the Benefits Communication category for Intuit's 2007 Benefits Communications Campaign which included a new benefits website and integrated print collateral materials. It was among four firms in the San Francisco area to receive an award, and the only firm to receive an award in the Benefits Communication category.

The firm received the Signature Award Honorable Mention in the Plan Design Changes - Small Company category for Intuit's 2007 401(k) Plan Design and Investment Education Campaign. Benz Communications was one of only a few boutique-sized firms among the winning sponsors. The print and online materials created by Benz Communications were designed to announce and support a change to Intuit's 401(k) plan. The majority of Intuit's 8,000 plus employees participate in the plan.

The Silver Quill Awards - Pacific Plains Region is an annual competition designed to recognize excellence in business communications and honor outstanding tactics, strategies, and communications professionals. This year, 73 awards (Excellence and Merit) were given in 20 categories to firms in 15 regions. Founded in 1970, the International Association of Business Communicators is a professional network of 16,000 business communication professionals in more than 70 countries. The Silver Quill Awards - Pacific Plains Region cover firms throughout the Central and Western United States, including Alaska and Hawaii.

The Signature Awards is an annual competition designed to honor excellence in profit sharing and 401(k) plan communication and investment education sponsored by the Profit Sharing Council of America. This year, 58 of the 237 entries were awarded recognition in 18 categories. A judging panel of business leaders and employee benefit communication experts chose the 2008 winners based on how companies design, manage, and provide profit sharing and 401(k) plan communication and investment education to plan participants. Signature Awards judges carefully review how effective the campaign was at achieving its goals. Campaigns were also reviewed for their overall effectiveness. The PSCA is a non-profit association of 1,200 companies and their six million plan participants.
